DrChrisBramah.com is operated by Extra Mile Health Limited, trading as Dr Chris Bramah. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. That means you should be able to:

  • navigate most of the site using a keyboard or assistive tech

  • use clear headings, consistent layouts and readable text

We believe this website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.

Known issues we’re fixing or improving:

  • Legacy images in some older blog posts may be missing descriptive alt text.

  • PDFs and some downloadable documents may not be fully tagged for screen readers.

  • Third-party embeds (e.g., YouTube, X/Twitter, podcast players) may not fully meet WCAG in all scenarios.

  • On the Research page, the optional sticky browse bar and chip rows use horizontal scrolling on small screens; we’re refining focus order and announcing state for assistive tech.

  • Some table layouts (e.g., publications lists) may require additional header associations on small screens.

What we’re doing to improve

  • Rolling programme to add or revise alt text on historic images.

  • Replacing or re-tagging PDFs with accessible HTML or tagged PDFs.

  • Regular keyboard-only and screen-reader checks (NVDA/VoiceOver) on key pages.

  • Avoiding text within images; improving color contrast where needed.

  • Honouring user preferences (e.g., prefers-reduced-motion) to limit animation.

We review this statement at least annually and after significant site updates.
